Welcome hard-working parents and carers!
I want to take this opportunity firstly to say thank you. Thank you for the hard work you do as a parent, for all the love and care you give to your children. You are just the perfect parent for your child, and you deserve so much support for all the work you do.
As we move into a new year, and I begin a new venture in the form of Parenting by Connection, I hope you'll join with me in reflecting for a moment on the incredible job parents do. We are routinely unpaid or underpaid, with a million different job titles in any one day. In our society, parenting is not given the respect or the support it deserves. Parenting by Connection is an approach that aims to change that.
By finding the resources and support you need, you'll be more able to offer your sweet children the connection they crave; and thanks to neuroscience we know that they don't just want this connection, they need it! Kids' brains are hard-wired to seek out connection with a loving, responsive and concerned adult. When they feel in tune with someone like this, they are free to be their wonderful selves, sharing, caring and growing just the way they are meant to.
Parenting by Connection is an approach that provides the insights, skills and tools necessary to build the meaningful connections that parents and children need to thrive.
If you'd like to learn more, I hope you'll send me an email (pbcwithbelynda@gmail.com) visit my facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ParentingbyConnectionwithBelyndaSmith/), or check out the Australian (www.parentingbyconnection.org.au) or international website (www.handinhandparenting.org) for Parenting by Connection organisations. This is my first post, and I plan to have many more detailing the Parenting by Connection tools and how you can use them effectively in your family.
May your day with your children be happy and filled with special, connected moments of fun, laughter and a deep sense of well-being.

Thankyou Belynda for providing this sacred space to evolve as mothers.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely reply!
DeleteThis is a space for those amazing creatures - mothers ... and also fathers, grandparents, carers, and anyone who works with children. We all deserve so much support for the most vital work there is. I'm glad to be on this journey with you!
